In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, please keep in mind that immigrants who are domestic violence victims might be eligible for special visas under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) or U-Visas.
If you or someone you know is an immigrant and also a victim of domestic violence, the VAWA makes it safe to come forward.
