Tolerating their presence is not the best way to put it. They help the economy and the work force specially on jobs that the white or born Americans are not willing to do! That is one reason that a lot of crops have been lost because of the absence of "illegal immigrants"!!!

The United States was founded for people who are in the pursuit of happiness, why are we now allowing the government to decide what color or shape the people have to have for that right? Do we not say in the pledge of alliance to the flag "with liberty and justice for all"? Why the hypocrisy? This country is famous for sending help to other faraway countries and we can't help the neighbor next door, who is working hard to have a better life for him and his family?

October 2012 will be the 47th anniversary of the last comprehensive immigration reform in the US. The realities of 1965 are not compatible with 2012... It is time that politicians start making the hard decisions about immigration. Both parties are afraid to act because the political price to act is very high. The reality is that according to the 2010 Census, our US born population is growing old. Jobs taken by the undocumented are not the jobs that we have US citizens whiling to do at any price. And finally, what we are going to do with the estimated 11 million undocumented (real people). If they are gone our economy will collapsed- they pay rent, buy food and everything else. There is no easy solution to the immigration problem- but is clear that something must be done. They are needed in our country like or not. We tolerated their presence for a very long time, now we have to face the reality of the inaction of every administration from Nixon to Obama. Comprehensive Immigration Reform now.
